Sheri Dawn and Rod Visit to Cedar City

My cousin, Sheri Dawn and her husband, Rod came to visit us in Cedar City.  It was nice for them to come down from Idaho and spend time with us.  My kids were attached to Rod from the get go.  I think that he had a "Grandpa" kind of feel (even though he doesn't look like a grandpa, even though he is... : )  and my kids have one grandpa that has passed and another one that is in a nursing home, so to be able to climb up on his lap and snuggle with him was something very special!

Even Bella had to "join the club" and snuggle with Rod.
 Ayumi and Kiyomi.

Funny faces...love Mariko's face in the back!!
 Kassidy and Mariko.
Sheri Dawn and Rod.  Of course, Brian had to take a picture of Sheri Dawn taking a picture.

Kaden and His Gingerbread House

Kaden's 1st grade class, made gingerbread houses last Friday.  We went to Walmart the night before and he went crazy in the candy aisle.  So, after getting a ton of candy and frosting, we went home and packed it in his backpack (I'm surprised that he could even walk upright to school without falling backwards!) .  He was so excited, I don't think that he slept very well at all that night!

Keegan's First Cub Scout Meeting

Yesterday was Keegan's first Cub Scout meeting!  He was so excited, especially being able to do the Cub Scout salute.  Oh, he practiced all afternoon and he was FINALLY able to "officially" salute last night (he's 2nd from the last).
Brian and Keegan went and bought the essentials that he would need for last night. I asked Brian to take the camera and  take pictures of where all the badges go, because I had no clue where to even start.  I then thought of all of the sewing I was going to have to do and imagined what Keegan's shirt was going to look like if I did sew them on!  Thank goodness for friends, a couple of them told me that there is a special glue that I can put on the badges and they won't come off in the wash..YAY, for me!!!  Oh, and YAY for Keegan that he won't have a "jacked up" shirt!!
Keegan, drinking and eating snacks after his meeting..yes, he was a happy camper and can't wait to go bowling next week with his troop!

Thanksgiving Weekend With The Latus!

Last year we had Thanksgiving with the Latus, so this year, the Latus came to our house!

Kassidy and the boys had such a fun time with George and Chloe.  They played in the snow, with the dogs, the Wii, toys, etc.  Kassidy loved having a girl to play with, she had tea parties and played dolls.  Usually, when she tries to have tea parties and play Barbie's with her brothers, the dishes become frisbees and some Barbie's end up without heads or limbs..they are so bad!!
Keegan and Kaden wish that George was their older brother, they have the best time with him!

I LOVE this picture...just the look on Kaden's face, puts a huge smile on mine!

Thanksgiving dinner.
Playing the card game, "Spoons"...it was so much fun.  We got Brian and Inoke to play, but they were so concerned about getting 4 of a kind, they were the first ones out..hee hee!!
Kaitlin's good side...   : )

Kids playing, "Apples to Apples, Family Edition".
Brian playing with Kassidy's Princess doll...Inoke couldn't resist taking this picture!

The guys taking pictures of each other..they laughed and thought it was so funny!
Breakfast time!!!

Chloe is so crazy!
It's Saturday night and Kaden was supposed to be brushing his teeth and getting ready for bed, but this is what I found in my bed!
Since my mom was not feeling well, I told her that I would babysit Sissy (her cute doggy) for a few days.  I walked into my room and saw her under the covers sleeping (mom says that she notorious for doing that).  So I decided to take a picture and then I ripped the covers off...she didn't even move.
We had such a great time and are so very thankful for such wonderful friends, who truly are family!

Kassi Gets Her Cake!

Kassi finally woke up and got a big piece of cake, oh how she loved it!

Making Dad His Birthday Cake!

We made Brian a triple chocolate fudge bundt cake this afternoon.  We also made homemade chocolate frosting...the boys had a blast!

I should have had the boys pour the frosting on the cake (on a different plate) before putting it on the cake holder, oh well.

While everyone was eating, Kassidy was sleeping...bless her little heart.
